Jayasom AMAALA wellness resortAmaala, Saudi Arabia: Jayasom has announced a series of senior leadership appointments as it prepares for the opening of the Jayasom Wellness Resort AMAALA, a key hospitality destination set to launch on Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coast later this year.
The appointments form part of the brand’s strategic preparations to position the resort as a leading global wellness destination, aligning with the Kingdom’s broader ambitions to expand its luxury tourism and wellness offering under Vision 2030.
The newly appointed leadership team includes Sascha Hemmann as General Manager, Dr Kannan Nettath as Director of Health and Wellness, and Amanda Hanna as Family and Multigenerational Wellness Manager.
Hemmann brings extensive international hospitality experience across Asia, the Americas, the Middle East, and Europe. In his role as General Manager, he will oversee the resort’s day-to-day operations, guest experience, and team culture, ensuring operational excellence as the property approaches its opening phase.
Dr Nettath joins the resort with more than 25 years of experience in integrative and Ayurvedic medicine, having held medical leadership roles across wellness clinics and resorts in India, Asia, and the Middle East.
As Director of Health and Wellness, he will lead the development of the resort’s health programmes, combining Eastern medical traditions with Western practices to deliver personalised and holistic wellness experiences for guests.
Jayasom AMAALA wellness resortAmanda Hanna brings a background in clinical psychology, with experience across clinical, educational, and wellness environments in the UAE. In her role, she will focus on designing and delivering family and multigenerational wellness programmes.
Her work will centre on emotional wellbeing, structured experiences, and inclusive offerings tailored to guests across different age groups, reflecting a growing demand for wellness concepts that cater to families and diverse demographics.
The leadership appointments underscore Jayasom’s commitment to delivering a comprehensive and integrated wellness experience as AMAALA continues to develop as a flagship destination along the Red Sea.
The resort is expected to play a key role in advancing Saudi Arabia’s position within the global wellness and luxury tourism sectors, contributing to the diversification of the Kingdom’s economy and the development of high-end experiential destinations.
