(Image: Imtiaz Developments)DUBAI, UAE: Imtiaz Developments has announced a landmark collaboration with the world-renowned Zaha Hadid Architects (ZHA) to design its upcoming AED 1 billion (USD 272 million) ultra-luxury project in Dubai’s prestigious Meydan district, a move that reinforces Dubai’s position as a global hub for architectural innovation and luxury living.
The signing ceremony, held at Zaha Hadid Architects’ headquarters in London, was attended by Masih Imtiaz, CEO of Imtiaz Developments, and Gianluca Racana, Director at ZHA.
The yet-to-be-revealed project will officially launch on November 18 at the Coca-Cola Arena. It is set to feature a bold architectural identity combining sculptural form, futuristic design, and refined functionality. The mixed-use development will include high-end residences, premium offices, and curated retail concepts — each reflecting ZHA’s signature design language of fluid geometry and expressive form.
Designed for the global elite, the project promises panoramic city views, bespoke interiors, and world-class amenities — aligning with Imtiaz Developments’ growing portfolio of over USD 2.7 billion (AED 10 billion) worth of projects across Dubai.
Masih Imtiaz, Chief Executive Officer of Imtiaz Developments, said:
“This is not just another project; it’s a legacy in the making. Our collaboration with Zaha Hadid Architects is a testament to our relentless pursuit of the extraordinary. Together, we are creating more than just homes — we’re crafting a destination that will elevate Dubai’s reputation as the epicentre of architectural innovation and luxury living.”
The new development will anchor itself within Meydan, one of Dubai’s most desirable lifestyle and investment districts, known for its connectivity to Downtown Dubai, luxury equestrian facilities, and high-profile sporting venues.
Imtiaz recently announced an AED 3 billion (USD 816 million) investment portfolio in Meydan, underscoring its expansion into Dubai’s most exclusive residential zones.
Carrying forward the visionary spirit of its late founder, Dame Zaha Hadid, the London-based firm remains at the forefront of contemporary architecture. Its work continues to redefine global skylines through a fusion of digital innovation, sustainable design, and cultural resonance.
Gianluca Racana, Director at Zaha Hadid Architects, said:
“We are proud to collaborate with Imtiaz on this visionary project. Dubai is a city of great ambition and bold ideas. Combining the highest standards of design and craftsmanship with the most advanced technologies, the development will extend the city’s unwavering optimism for the future. This pioneering design for Meydan is being engineered to create a fully integrated, holistic environment that redefines 21st-century living at the heart of one of the world’s most dynamic regions.”
Design development is currently in progress, with an official unveiling expected in late 2025. Construction will commence in Q1 2026, with project completion targeted for 2028.
The development is expected to attract global investors and discerning homeowners alike, offering a rare opportunity to own a residence designed by one of the most influential architectural practices of the modern era.
