Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: Ghanem Company has announced the launch of fractional ownership of real estate in Saudi Arabia under the regulatory sandbox of the Real Estate General Authority (REGA), marking a significant step in expanding access to regulated real estate investment across the Kingdom.

The initiative enables eligible Saudi investors to acquire officially registered fractional shares in income-generating real estate assets through a fully digital investment journey. Ghanem is fully integrated with the Real Estate Registry, ensuring that ownership is recorded transparently within the official system and aligned with regulatory requirements and investor protection standards.

The launch reflects REGA’s broader mandate to encourage innovation within the real estate sector while maintaining strong governance, compliance, and market integrity. By operating within the sandbox framework, the model allows for structured testing under regulatory supervision before any wider market rollout.

Expanding access through digital and regulated infrastructure

Through the new offering, investors can participate in real estate ownership without the capital requirements typically associated with full-property acquisition. The integration with the national registry ensures that fractional ownership rights are formally documented, reinforcing transparency and trust within the investment process.

Saleh Waheed Al-Ghamdi, CEO of Ghanem, said:

Launching fractional ownership under the REGA Sandbox is a major milestone for Ghanem and the Saudi real estate sector. Our full integration with the Real Estate Registry allows us to deliver a transparent, secure, and fully regulated investment experience.

Phased rollout under regulatory oversight

According to Ghanem, the fractional ownership product will be introduced in phases within the sandbox environment. This approach enables controlled implementation and performance evaluation under REGA’s oversight before considering broader market expansion.

The move aligns with Saudi Arabia’s wider efforts to modernise its real estate investment ecosystem, broaden participation, and introduce technology-enabled models that enhance accessibility while safeguarding investor interests.
