Emirates Develops Multi-Billion Dollar Cabin Crew Housing Project in Dubai

Dubai, UAE: Emirates Airline has signed an agreement with Dubai Investments Park to acquire land for a new purpose-built Cabin Crew Village, marking a significant investment in workforce infrastructure as the airline continues to scale operations and plan for long-term growth.

The multi-billion-dirham development, valued at several billion dollars in USD terms, will comprise a mixed-use residential community designed to accommodate up to 12,000 cabin crew members. The project reflects Emirates’ strategic focus on employee wellbeing, operational efficiency, and long-term readiness as the airline prepares for future expansion.

The agreement was signed by Ali Mubarak Al Soori, Emirates’ Chief Procurement and Facilities Officer, and Khalid Bin Kalban, Vice Chairman and CEO of Dubai Investments, in the presence of Adel Al Redha, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Operating Officer, alongside senior executives from both organisations, including Abdulaziz Bin Yagub Al Serkal, CEO of Glass LLC, Dubai Investments, and Omar Al Mesmar, General Manager of Dubai Investments Park.

Groundbreaking for the Cabin Crew Village is scheduled for the second quarter of 2026, with the first phase expected to be completed in 2029. The development will be delivered through a long-term lease arrangement, reinforcing a structured and sustainable approach to large-scale residential delivery.

The community will comprise 20 contemporary residential buildings, each rising 19 floors, offering a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. The units have been designed specifically with cabin crew comfort, convenience, and lifestyle needs in mind, creating a supportive living environment tailored to the demands of a global airline workforce.

Designed as a complete lifestyle destination, the Cabin Crew Village will offer a wide range of amenities focused on health, wellbeing, and community engagement. Plans include a multi-purpose hub featuring retail outlets, restaurants and food concepts, alongside modern fitness facilities, medical clinics, and dedicated public spaces and parks.

Residents will be encouraged to adopt an active outdoor lifestyle, supported by walking trails, resort-style swimming pools, landscaped grounds, and extensive green spaces integrated throughout the development. Each residential building will also feature its own dedicated facilities to ensure convenience and accessibility for all crew members.
