Image courtesy: Red Sea GlobalSaudi Arabia: Football icon Cristiano Ronaldo and his partner Georgina Rodríguez have acquired luxury residential units at Nujuma, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, located within Red Sea Global’s flagship destination on Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coast.
The homes form part of the Red Sea Residences, situated on private islands approximately 26 kilometres from the mainland, accessible exclusively by boat or seaplane. Designed for seclusion and serenity, the residences offer owners a rare combination of privacy, natural beauty and world-class hospitality in one of the Kingdom’s most ambitious tourism developments.
Nujuma comprises 19 fully independent luxury villas, each conceived to provide an intimate living experience that blends refined architecture with the surrounding marine and desert landscape. The resort has been designed to foster a close connection with nature while maintaining the highest standards of comfort and exclusivity.
Ronaldo and Rodríguez acquired two villas at the destination: a three-bedroom residence intended for family use and an additional two-bedroom villa. The couple were among the earliest homeowners at the resort, having followed the destination’s progress since its first resorts opened in 2023.

“The Red Sea destination is truly exceptional in every sense of the word,” he said. “From our very first visit, Georgina and I felt a deep connection with this island and its breathtaking natural beauty. It’s a place where we find peace and tranquility.”
By owning a home at Nujuma, Ronaldo added, the family is able to enjoy complete privacy and comfort whenever they choose to visit, while remaining immersed in a protected natural environment.
The couple continue to explore further investment opportunities within the wider Red Sea development, reflecting their growing interest in the region’s luxury lifestyle and real estate offerings.
John Pagano, CEO of Red Sea International, said the purchase reflects the destination’s distinctive positioning at the intersection of luxury, nature and sustainability.
“We are delighted to welcome Cristiano and Georgina to the Red Sea Residences community,” he said, highlighting the destination’s emphasis on privacy, environmental stewardship and experiential living.
The Red Sea destination has been designed to deliver a net positive environmental impact of 30 percent by 2040, supported by initiatives that enhance coral reefs, mangroves, seagrass beds and native habitats. All Red Sea and AMAALA destinations, including residential communities, are powered by 100 percent renewable energy.

The Red Sea International Airport provides direct connections to Riyadh, Jeddah, Dubai, Doha and Milan, placing the destination within three hours of 250 million people and eight hours of 85 percent of the world’s population.
As a flagship project under Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, the Red Sea development continues to attract global attention from high-profile visitors and investors seeking exclusive living experiences aligned with environmental responsibility and long-term sustainability.
