Azizi Partners with Hyprlift to Explore Ropeless Elevators in Dubai

Dubai, UAE: Azizi Developments has signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding with Hyprlift, a California-based specialist in advanced vertical transportation systems, to explore the potential integration of ropeless elevator technology across selected developments in Dubai.

The agreement establishes a framework for technical studies, integration planning and feasibility assessments to evaluate the deployment of Hyprlift’s self-propelled elevator systems. The scope of collaboration includes design coordination, installation requirements, testing and commissioning processes, as well as operational and maintenance considerations.

Hyprlift’s modular ropeless elevator technology introduces an alternative model for vertical transportation within high-rise buildings. Unlike conventional systems, the technology allows multi-directional movement and improved architectural flexibility, while increasing passenger capacity and optimising the use of building cores.

The initiative comes as Azizi Developments continues to expand its development pipeline across Dubai. The company currently has approximately 150,000 residential units under construction, representing projects valued at several tens of billions of US dollars.

Among its most prominent developments is Burj Azizi, which is set to become the world’s second tallest skyscraper, alongside large-scale masterplanned communities including Azizi Riviera, Azizi Venice and Azizi Milan.

According to the developer, the collaboration reflects its broader strategy of evaluating emerging construction and building technologies that can enhance operational efficiency, optimise spatial design and improve the end-user experience across its growing portfolio of residential and mixed-use developments.
