Image: SuppliedABU DHABI, UAE – AtkinsRéalis has appointed David Kilgour as Client Development Director, Buildings & Places, Abu Dhabi, reinforcing its strategic focus on expanding its presence in one of the region’s fastest-growing markets.
The move comes as Abu Dhabi enters a sustained multi-year development cycle, supported by a strong pipeline of residential, hospitality, and mixed-use projects expected through 2028.
In his new role, Kilgour will lead a more structured and proactive approach to client development, transitioning from opportunity-led engagement toward a relationship-driven growth strategy.
His mandate includes strengthening the company’s forward pipeline, improving project win rates, securing new strategic clients, and deepening engagement with key stakeholders across the emirate.
Kilgour brings nearly three decades of experience across development, design, and construction, having held senior leadership roles including Development Director at Drum Property Group.
His combined experience on both the client and developer sides is expected to support earlier-stage engagement and more commercially aligned partnerships with Abu Dhabi’s developers and government entities.
Priyesh Vora, Vice President, Strategy and Growth, AtkinsRéalis Middle East, said: “Abu Dhabi is central to our regional growth strategy. David’s appointment strengthens our market-facing leadership and positions us to deepen client relationships and capture new opportunities across the capital.”
David Kilgour, Client Development Director, Buildings & Places, Abu Dhabi, said: “Abu Dhabi offers a strong pipeline of opportunity. I look forward to building long-term client partnerships and driving a more focused approach to growth in the emirate.”
The appointment underscores AtkinsRéalis’ continued commitment to scaling its Buildings & Places business across the Middle East, with Abu Dhabi positioned as a key driver of future growth.
As large-scale masterplans and infrastructure-led developments continue to shape the emirate’s urban landscape, the company aims to strengthen its role across the full project lifecycle, from early-stage planning through to delivery.
