Al Habtoor Donates Five Dubai Units to Real Estate Endowment Initiative

Dubai, United Arab Emirates: The Mohammed bin Rashid Global Centre for Endowment Consultancy (MBRGCEC), operating under the Endowment and Minors’ Trust Foundation in Dubai (Awqaf Dubai), has announced a significant new contribution to the “Real Estate Developers’ Endowment” initiative, launched in partnership with the Dubai Land Department (DLD).

Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, Founder and Chairman of Al Habtoor Group, has joined the initiative by dedicating five residential units within the Al Habtoor City development as part of a long-term charitable endowment designed to support sustainable humanitarian programmes across the UAE.

Endowment to Support Health, Education and Community Welfare

Under this contribution, Al Habtoor Group will oversee the full management and operation of the units. All annual proceeds generated will be allocated to charitable initiatives covering healthcare, education, and direct support for vulnerable groups including orphans, widows, people of determination, and other deserving cases.

Out of loyalty to our values, and in fulfilment of our duty to contribute alongside our government in supporting the people of this blessed land, we dedicate these endowments to serve the community under our management and supervision,” said Khalaf Al Habtoor.

Strengthening Institutional Philanthropy

His Excellency Essa Al Ghurair, Chairman of Awqaf Dubai, commended the donation, noting that Al Habtoor’s participation reflects a strong model of institutional philanthropy and demonstrates clear commitment to endowment-focused initiatives that directly support societal needs.

His Excellency Ali Al Mutawa, Secretary-General of Awqaf Dubai, said the initiative embodies the UAE’s deeply rooted values of generosity and reinforces the collaborative relationship between Awqaf Dubai and the private sector in advancing health, education and social development.

“The continued success of the Real Estate Developers’ Endowment initiative in attracting further contributions from developers and business leaders is a strong testament to the values of generosity instilled by the wise leadership,” he said.

Expanding the Role of the Real Estate Sector

Zainab Juma Al Tamimi, Director of MBRGCEC, also expressed appreciation for Al Habtoor’s contribution, emphasizing that such endowments create long-term impact and provide a continuous source of support for charitable programmes. She added that the initiative aims to encourage real estate developers to participate in innovative endowment models that align with community priorities.

The “Real Estate Developers’ Endowment” initiative forms part of the broader efforts to foster collaboration between the private sector and the endowment ecosystem, in line with the UAE’s longstanding vision of nurturing a culture of giving and social responsibility.
